# KoniWorx > Creations by KoniWorx ## Posts - [Dead Baby Birds](https://koniworx.com/dead-baby-birds/): DEAD BABY BIRDS This is a side-project concept I developed in 2021. I made a rare find of some baby pigeons on my balcony. I kept checking on them, watching them grow. Then one morning I found them dead – a predator bird had gotten to them. There was nothing left to do but to try and scoop their lifeless bodies into paper bags to get rid of them. As I was trying to move their corpses into the bag, the bird’s parents landed on the roof watching me doing this. A gut wrenchingly sad moment. This cemented itself into my […] - [RAD TAD](https://koniworx.com/rad-tad/): RAD TAD - [Into The Unwell Animatic](https://koniworx.com/into-the-unwell-animatic/): INTO THE UNWELL ANIMATIC I did the storyboard and animatic for this game trailer. A lot of fun! Great collaboration between the dev team and I, we were both very satisfied with the end result. For the animatic I did some voice acting for the evil guy as well. They were just placeholders that were later replaced. The lines were much appreciated by the team and it helped them with the direction of the voice for the final version. - [The Papa John Paradox](https://koniworx.com/the-papa-john-paradox/): Into The Unwell Animatic Animations I did for Matt McCusker together with PinkLit Studio . I was assigned scenes with more frame by frame heavy work that had to be added to the rigged animation. My Scenes Full Episode I did work on this episode too but I haven’t come around putting together a showcase for my scenes yet. If I do, I’ll update this post. - [CROMORIUM Entry #3](https://koniworx.com/cromorium-entry-3/): Cromorium #3 - [Dexter's Void](https://koniworx.com/dexters-void/): Dexter’s Void I made this tiny little project over Easter week. It was a nice break from my much larger project which is taking up most of my time these days. - [GAME JAM PROJECTS](https://koniworx.com/game-jams/): I’ve made a lot of game jams over the years, but sadly not all of them are still playable. The ones listed here are ones that you can still access. My full list of projects I’ve worked on can be found here. If I make new ones or find old ones, they will be added here. This was for their Kickstarter. Steps Started out with a really sketchy version that captures the motion and general posing. The second step is more proper drawings with tied down volumes and shapes. I did the shadow step in the final. I typically do that in the roughs too but I was short on time on this. Backgrounds Turn Around - [Old HOME Page](https://koniworx.com/old-about-reel-home-page/): CONTACT@KONIWORX.COM ABOUT Greetings! I’m Conny Nordlund! I specialize in 2D Art & Animation, covering both hand-drawn work and pixel art. Over the course of my career, I’ve gained a diverse set of skills in game development and animation. Since 2017, I’ve had the opportunity to work in both AAA and Indie sectors, which has provided me with valuable experience. With more than a decade of professional artistic experience, I have a strong foundation in the industry. I’ve had the pleasure of leading the creation, direction, and production of the video game properties “Chenso Club” and “Hayfever,” both of which have been […] - [Portfolio](https://koniworx.com/portflio/): CONTACT: contact@koniworx.com ANIMATION PORTFOLIO REEL animation Storyboards BACKGROUNDS Sketchbook & Art PIXEL ART PORTFOLIO Personal Work Gravity Circuit Chenso Club Chenso Club – Cinematic Panels !! This was the second game within that team. We were about 10 people at one point working on this! I drew and animated almost everything in this game. All the marketing work is mine also except the trailer animation. I probably took on too many hats during this project. Looking back I would have liked to only focus on the art direction and the story and leave the rest to other people. I’m very proud of the general direction of this game, however. Even if […] - [HAYFEVER](https://koniworx.com/hayfever/): HAYFEVER Hayfever was my first commercial indie game. I made it together with my best friend Jonas Ahlmark. We did of course outsource parts of the development to composers and audio designers and so on, but this was very much a duo passion project. I grew so much as an artist, a director and a person, working on this project. This project won a bunch of awards that got us to different conventions around the world. It was a wild ride, that’s for sure! It’s the game that anchored me into the industry. Marketing Art Pixel Art - [Graffiti Furniture](https://koniworx.com/graffiti-furniture/): Graffiti Furniture When I lived in a small studio apartment in 2021-2022 I didn’t have much space so I bought this loft bed thing. It looked pretty bland so I had my friends and I draw on it. Here’s some of my stuff. - [Biography thing](https://koniworx.com/biography-thing/): Biography thing This was discontinued because my other website provider decided to up their prices like crazy. Their platform had an interesting parallax feature which I used to make this biography interesting to look at. I don’t think I’ll ever continue this thing but it’s fun to look back on! - [Random Dump](https://koniworx.com/art-dump-1/): Random Dump Just a bunch of stuffffffff I have no idea when I made all these things. There might even be duplicates in here from other years.. My guess is anywhere between 2018-2022. - [2017+2018](https://koniworx.com/2017-2/): It’s 2017, and I’m primarily focused on creating my first 3D animation reel. I didn’t have much time to draw or work on personal projects outside of school. I mainly sketched in my sketchbooks, but those drawings remain unscanned. I might add more to this section later, including some 3D work, but for now, here’s what I have! Pixel art also became more significant for me during this time. In 2017, I got my first internship at a AAA game company called Sharkmob. I started my own game company, Pixadome, and began developing our first game, “Hayfever.” This is partly why […] - [2016 (TGA)](https://koniworx.com/2016-2/): I am now at the end of my first year of school, and I’ve been reintroduced to animation through some of my classes. I started leaning into it because people noticed that I had some experience with animation fundamentals from my interest in it during my teenage years. Naturally, I shifted my focus to animation, which also filled a need within my group projects. This was great because I struggled with 3D work, which you can clearly see here. From late 2016 to early 2017, I completed eight games at The Game Assembly. Toward the end of 2016, I experimented with […] - [2015 (TGA)](https://koniworx.com/2015-2/): I got accepted into The Game Assembly (school)! My life completely turned around for the better after this. That doesn’t mean it was easy, but I finally felt like things were moving upward after a long period of challenges. I was accepted into The Game Assembly, a 3D-focused school, based solely on my concept art submissions, which I was quite proud of. - [2014](https://koniworx.com/2014-2/): 2014 was a really low point for me, and I didn’t paint much. I mostly drew in my sketchbook, though most of it was just studies and remains unscanned. There isn’t much more to say — we all go through dark periods in life. Älg Gamers was a Swedish let’s play channel me and my friend had for a bit. - [2013](https://koniworx.com/2013-2/): Game development became a bigger interest for me in 2013. I realized I could start creating assets for actual games rather than just designing concepts. I wasn’t entirely sure how to approach this since it was all so new to me, but I began exploring it that year. The idea of going to school for game development started to cross my mind. I applied to a school called The Game Assembly, but I didn’t get in — I completely messed up the interview. I felt like such a failure and didn’t reapply for another year. - [2012](https://koniworx.com/2012-2/): Although I started getting some freelance work in 2010, by 2012 I was receiving more commissions, enough to finally tell people that I was actually making some money from it. It definitely wasn’t much, and I struggled a lot. I was still unsure about what to do with my art — could I ever make a living from this? I felt stuck, but I was still determined to improve. I studied a ton every day. - [2011](https://koniworx.com/2011-2/): At this time, I focused heavily on creating characters. I still did tons of studies in the mornings, but concept art and illustration were the only career paths on my mind. Animation had completely fallen off my radar. I was more interested in painterly styles and drawing characters. - [2010](https://koniworx.com/2010-2/): I studied a lot during this time, and you’ll notice my anatomy improving. The quality of my paintings also got better as I learned more about edge control and values. While they still look a bit muddy, they’re definitely showing progress. I did a ton of still-life paintings for rendering and light studies, along with many figure drawings. I also dabbled in 3D for the first time. I believe the two pieces here were created in Mudbox. - [2009](https://koniworx.com/2009-2/): In 2009, my focus shifted more towards art studies, and my work started taking on a more painterly style as I learned about value, light, and rendering. This is where my style entered a weird, awkward phase that took me years to grow out of. I think this came mainly from the confusion about what type of art I wanted to pursue. I just knew I wanted to be a great artist and make a living doing something art-related. At the time, I bounced between illustration and concept art, with animation becoming less of a focus. This animation was just a […] - [2008](https://koniworx.com/2008-2/): At 18, I had leveled up quite a bit in skill since 2007. I started experimenting with new techniques in Photoshop and other tools. My style began leaning towards a more animated, cartoony vibe. There will be a few more awkward stages in my style’s development, but you’ll notice I keep returning to this direction more and more. - [2007](https://koniworx.com/2007-2/): Pretty much the same deal as in 2006 – A lot of gifts for other artists and stuff. Social art. Had a lot of fun with my art during this time. FLASH ANIMATION ART - [2006](https://koniworx.com/2006-2/): I entered my anime phase in 2006 and created a lot of gifts for other artists on various art sites. Some of these make me cringe like crazy! Many of these works are what you might call “profile IDs,” which were images or videos displayed on artist pages. They usually weren’t very animated, and I made a TON of them. The lock characters are related to something called “Lock Legion,” which was a Flash community I was part of. Each community member had a character or object with a lock for a face. I created a lot of Lock Legion Flash […] - [2005](https://koniworx.com/2005-2/): During this period, I was actively drawing and posting on Newgrounds and a website called SheezyArt. It was around this time that I really became interested in pushing my art further. Art served mainly as a social outlet for me because of the communities surrounding it. I also started making Flash movies during this time. The lock characters are related to something called “Lock Legion,” a Flash community I was part of. Each community member had a character or object with a lock for a face. I created many Lock Legion Flash animations, which helped establish my animation foundation. I particularly […] - [2004](https://koniworx.com/sketchbook-test-1/): These are my very first digital drawings. I remember being really proud of the red-haired guy because I had just discovered gradients, lol. The one with the hat is a self-portrait created in MS Paint. It’s quite fun to still have these. I only posted them on the Newgrounds forums, and they were quite hard to dig up! - [CROMORIUM Entry #2](https://koniworx.com/cf-journal-entry-2/): This content is password-protected.
